Gaffney

Back from Gaffney for our first service visit. Also attended Camp Freightliner. Friendly people !!!! They are there to help us.
Was a great experience (if you have not been). Class was super, if not a little information overload. And we made a ton of new RV friends. Even had another Palazzo owner in the class.
During our service visit we discovered an oil leak on top of the engine (oil line that goes into the top of the valve cover). Was a simple fix once we discovered how to access the top of the engine. Hour to get to it, 5 minutes to repair.
Interesting on how the manufactures determine who's going to "pay" for warranty repairs; Freightliner, Cummings, Allison, or Thor. It's a craps shoot.
Back on the road !!!!!!

Hi Tom, Enjoyed our time in Gaffney. Learned a bunch.
Steering problem fixed after three attempts. They took the steering column and system apart and relubed everything . Also my rear end was 4 pts low.???
Now a visit to the factory should fix a very noisy large slide. ( I hope ........)
Happy Easter to all.

Had a good time, even with all the Freightliner/Cummings issues. Really enjoyed the conversations with the other RV owners. Leaner a lot from them.

Let me know what you find out at Thor on the slide. Don't know if it would be worth a trip for me. Working on our summer trip plans and could work Elkhart in if needed.

Tom,

Happy you had a good visit to Gaffney! I agree that Camp Freightliner can be information overload and I may consider going again for that very reason and to attend the one at Gaffney, I attended the class at Thor in Elkhart.
