Generator won’t start unless I run the engine
This is my first motorhome and I’ve had it for about 3 weeks. Just last night for the first time the generator won’t start unless I start the engine first. I’m guessing it has to do with the house battery but I have no clue. Any ideas?

Your house battery may be discharged.
When the engine is running, there is a device that connects the start battery with the house battery, basicly boosting it.
That's why the generator is starting.
While on shore or generator power, engine off, see if the battery gauge on the panel shows all green lights.
You also want the Use/Store switch on, anytime there is shore or generator power on. That lets the converter get its charging to the house battery.
There will be a converter that should be charging the house battery.
Its time to pickup a small multi meter. Real handy for troubleshooting. A $10 one will do the trick.

Is this the panel you’re referring to?

Yes, push the battery button.
OK a closer look, you are. The house battery is dead or disconnected.
If plugged in or running generator, There should be green lights.
Is the Battery switch down by the steps on USE or ON ? It needs to be.

It was not connected to any shore power in the picture above when only getting one light. Now that I have it connected to power at the campground I’m getting 4 full lights

After a few hours or overnight, pull the shore power and see if you have 3 or 4 lights.
4 lights means the converter is working and should be charging the battery.
Pulling the plug tomorrow and checking for 3 or 4 lights will tell us if it actually did charge the battery. If it drops to one again, something is wrong.
If your storing the RV at home with no plug in, be sure to turn off the use/store switch.
If your plugging in, leave it on.

Once I disconnected from shore power this morning, the battery was showing as full with all 4 lights. It must just be the use/store switch. Thanks!
