I thought I would resurrect this thread. I bought a new 2012 keystone raptor. The first time we had to use the fuel, about 3 months after purchase, found out the pump was no good. They had to replace that. Less than a year, we found water leaking in our BR Closet slideout. They determined the whole left wall had to be replaced. Sent it to Indiana which took 3 months. Got it back and noticed all the outside comparts didn't line up as they used to. Was told nothing they can do about it. 50% of the circuit breakers and 12v fuses were mismarked on the panel. I found this out when I installed my 2nd a/c unit in the bedroom. Replaced the dc converter after 3 years. As of present, we still get damp carpet in our bedroom slideout when we get a heavy rain. I will never buy another Thor product again!

New Venetian R40 Class A

Previous owner of a Class C Forest River RV that drove like a shoebox on wheels. How could they sell anything like this and be able to drive it on the Hwy?? The list of repairs went on for warranty. Owned for over a year and still never had the warranty items completed as it would of sat on the lot forever for parts. Plus being left uncovered and cooked from the sun and elements. Went Sunday shopping one weekend and somehow walked away with a Thor Venetian 2022 R40. The price was hard to pass up and the upgrade was over the top from the Class C.

I inspected the Coach and already saw issues with quality. Items that could be fixed within a reasonable amount of time. Some items they would need to replaced due to dings and scratches but still functioned. It is surprising that they release them from the factory this way. Understanding more moving parts than a new car......but think they would would do a final walk through and repair missing items, flaws, etc.

So far I am happy with my purchase and my list of defects/warranty is long. The coach is useable and have it at the dealership for two months now before my next big trip for the Spring.

I was more of a Jerk when I purchased this Coach and my Due Bill must of hurt them. I figured if I am dropping some major dollars this needs to be handled with the understanding it will take some time. Last trip it drove great, all things worked to allow a good short trip.

It should be ready at the beginning of March for the Trip. We should get the most important items fixed knowing that it will still need another 6-8-12 months of waiting for parts.

Last Coach I was still waiting for parts from warranty and traded it in "As Is" and told them to go back to the dealership for repairs as they were covered.

RV's as whole all seem to built the same with some with better quality parts and frames. I dont think you would get a perfect coach on delivery unless you drop more than 500K-1M to allow for all those extra man hours to fix the F-ups from manufacturing.

Anyone else have insight let me know and I will keep you posted on repairs and wear/tear on the coach.

Hoping for good travels with my New Venetian 2022 R40
