I have seen very little owner interaction on the web until today when I was looking for Outlaw pictures using Google Image search for Damon Outlaw. Shaffer's photo out the rear with the ramp as a deck popped-up a few rows from the top of the search.

Will check back often. Thanks for posting your stories about this great RV.

Yup! An internet search found this thread for me - above from March 2012
Thanks again to Don for starting it.

But, maybe you don't want to know what the new owner is doing to your baby...I'm just sayin'

Safe travels

This forum is awesome! If it wasn't for this forum, I'd never have found Steve and Kim to check out my Outlaw before I bought it.

On another note, my solar panel that is plugged into 12V outlet on the passenger side doesn't seem to want to keep the battery charged. Since the panel is working and I can't disconnect the house battery, I'm assuming all the other things that draw a little current are more than the panel can deal with. Right now the house battery is disconnected and the panel attached directly to the battery.

Mike, Thanks for the kudos

Now about the SOLAR PANEL and the chassis battery:
~Is the RV under its cover? If so, and the solar panel is inside the RV and unable to keep up with the draw, then the panel has to be moved to more direct sunlight.
~Is the solar panel connected to a cigar lighter outlet? Is the outlet hot when the ignition is off? That cigar lighter outlet might go dead when you turn off the key.

If the solar panel is in direct sunlight and the outlet is hot to the chassis battery all the time, then there is a serious draw on the battery...next step would be to put a meter on the battery and start pulling fuses (one at a time) to see what is causing the draw.

- Or - put a mechanical disconnect on the chassis battery (just like race cars) and isolate it when the RV is parked.
Like: http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...nnect-switches

- Or - since you park the RV at home, you can get a "Battery Minder" style float charger for the chassis battery and plug it into the house with a dedicated extension cord.
12v Battery Charger, Battery Desulfator, Battery Maintainer, Charger

Best luck

It's all electric, w/ remote and has three heat settings (no heat, 750Watt and 1500Watt). The visuals are on a dimmer and only use 2 night light sized bulbs.
For anyone wanting to install a fireplace, but didn't want to cut a hole in the wall
See: FEBO Flame

I found that the company that made mine has opened a retail to the public website in Danville, CA:
FEBO Limited
Scroll down the page to the 35" hanging fireplace.

We have no affiliation - it just worked for us.

Safe travels

Checking in

Don mentioned to me today that I've been missing from the site for awhile.

Never fear, I've been over here lurking in the shadows and watch the thread everyday like a good boy.

Glad to see all the new members, and it seems like every time I turn around these days I'm seeing another Outlaw on the highways. Boy, have we come a long way!

Thor is BUSY!! 4th Outlaw Model from Thor

OK everyone...a few months back I shared about the new Outlaw 35SG, Super "C" (w/ F-550 cab chassis) motorhome coming soon to a dealer near you...

NOW, THOR HAS INTRODUCED THE OUTLAW 29H (conventional Class "C" - the write-up says E-350 - soon to be phased out for the Euro Transit Van).
Debut was at the Louisville, KY RV show...details are still thin.

Quote: Thor Motor Coach Adds More Floorplans to Lineup | RV Industry News
"The newest addition to the Outlaw Toyhauler is the 29H. Built on the E-series chassis from Ford, the new floorplan has living space up front, with a garage set-up in the rear. The 29H is the most compact and affordable Outlaw, the company said. Standard features include the exterior patio with awning, 24-inch LCD TV with DVD player in the garage, Bluetooth enabled coach radio and 32-inch LCD TV in the living area."

IMHO - A real entry level motorized Toy Hauler! I would have bought one of these about 10 years ago - if anyone would had made them

Safe Travels

Hehehehe... I saw the very first one being finished on the line on my factory visit

My first motor home was a Thor Four Winds 31C Class C toy hauler. It was on a ford chassis with the V-10. It didn't have a slide like this one and no levelers so I traded up to the Outlaw in short order.

They say E-350 but the one I saw was a diesel?

Steve I just noticed your signature line. At first I am thinking, "why is he advertising his rental on here?", then the brain got it and I laughed. Thanks for the laugh!

[/IMG][/IMG]

So last month I attended a three day CE course in north Scottsdale, at a very upscale resort, attended by people from all over North America. I have attended courses at this venue a couple times before. It's a 60 mile round trip across town from my home, facing the sun and heavy traffic both ways (I live 2 miles from my place of business, so I'm spoiled). I really dislike this commute to the venue, having to arise by 5:30 am to get there on time.

So since I now own an Outlaw, I figured why not drive it there, and urban camp at the venue, saving time, fuel and money? I'm certainly not going to spend $300 a night to stay at the resort like the out-of-towners do. I asked the people running the meeting a couple weeks in advance if I could park my moho in the parking lot at the resort for 3 days. Not surprisingly they said 'No, you will be towed". So I Google Earth scouted some empty state land (desert) near the resort that I figured would give me some concealment and I could just walk .2 of a mile to the resort. On the first day I did park the Outlaw in the parking lot perimeter away from the buildings. At lunch one of the course officials told me that they did after all get permission for me to urban camp in the parking lot, so I was very pleased that I didn't have to be all stealthy out in the desert wilds of north Scottsdale!

Anyway, it worked out great. My local colleagues who attended this course with me, but had to commute, were 10-30 minutes late every day because the freeways were a bear that week, while I was on time and well rested.

Just another reason I love my Outlaw!

But why the "third person?" WE are incredibly good looking and smart

Apologies to Don...but since he "had" an Outlaw, then maybe some of the spell stuck

The Resort officials probably changed their minds about Jeff's parking lot-docking request after they saw how nice the Outlaw looks...and that he was already being respectful, parking in the "back 40".

Safe travels to all
