OK, we have our old Winne Brave is for sale as we just acquired a 8 month old Outlaw. The owner decided he wanted a bedroom with a door to keep the kids out. The loft just didn't cut it for him and his wife. His loss, our gain. We are getting ready to drive it to the Ft. Worth area to see our son and his wife for turkey day. Love it so far and with the golf cart in the garage I am loving it more each day. Can,t wait to do some of the mods I have read about on IRV2. What a great site.

Congrats and kudos on the wise purchase of an Outlaw!
Wow, only 8 months old?! You are wise to let the original owner take the hit with depreciation.
Best of luck and hope you enjoy it!

OK, so how many of you out there have had an occasion to use the emergency exit window over the sofa?
I got to use ours the other day after my wife and I got home from a short trip to Prescott AZ! We pulled up in the driveway at our house and when we tried to open the door it would not unlatch. It was a bit unsettling to find that we couldn't get out of the RV through the normal point of egress.
There was the house right outside our front window. The dogs knew they were home and decided that they need to pee RIGHT NOW so they started some serious power whining.
With some minor contortions and a little high scaling I was able to lower myself out of the exit window to the ground (not unlike some of the self rescue training we do at the fire department).
I was able to free my wife from her captivity by lowering the ramp for her and the pups.
The next day I removed the door latch and as it turned out the internal slide mechanism for the door latch had broken. New latch assembly is ordered.
Oh the joys of buying used... Still loving our Damon Outlaw

HAHA! This summer we found we found out that you can lock yourself out. I pushed open a garage window that wasn't latched and threw my 11-year-old thru the window so he could open the door.
The real question is did it make you question your purchase right then and there?

I put combination locks on the garage ramp door so I can always get it, that is if the door leading from the garage to the hallway is not locked. I guess I should hide a set of door keys somewhere.

New Outlaw
I'm currently at the Thor plant having some warranty work done on our 5 month old Outlaw. I took the factory tour, and there weren't any Outlaws there, but there were a few on the lot, so we asked if we could take a look. Well, there are significant changes. First, there is a new full body paint scheme. Second, and this is important, they are now being built on the Ford 24,000 pound chassis, with bigger tires. It looks like the coach rides a bid lower probably because it has larger basement boxes, and the box doors open to the side. The tanks are all relocated. The front cap is new and features fog lamps. I believe the coach it is about 1 foot longer. On the inside, there is a new dash and storage on the right and left walls by the driver and passenger seats. There is a drop down bunk above the cockpit. There is a shelf behind the sofa. The sofa and dinette windows are taller. The kitchen is redesigned with a tall compartment for things like cookie sheets, AND in back of the refrigerator is a tall slide out pantry. The bath had little change. The garage has built in tie down loops. I may check into a trade next year.

I just checked out the Outlaw website and they have the new specs up, but no new pictures. It made me laugh a bit because some of the garage pictures they show are still from the 2007 model.
Weird tank situation - 100 gallons of water but only 43 gal grey and 43 gal black. That kind of storage seems like a horrible idea. I would rather have a 100 gallon grey and 43 gallon fresh.
I would think that you would want to target people who use race tracks - and those places hardly ever have any kind of sewer available. They probably need to pay more attention to the boondock capabilities of this unit in the future.
edit: It also now has a party platform option for the rear deck? I would like to see what that looks like?

Don't trust the Thor web site or brochures for specs
I looked at the water tank on the new Outlaw and it had an 85 gallon sticker on it. They gave me a new brochure, but it had the old specs for GVWR and tank sizes. They also have new interior color schemes. Anyway, I don't trust what they publish. On the plus side, the warranty folks are very nice.

I am interested in the roof top platform. Where is the ladder?

So, the 2013 Outlaw is mixing things up for the first time since the 3808 was offered...new for 2013 is the 37LS.
The Thor website says the length is up to 38' 4" (exactly 1 extra foot).
The electric queen lift bed option is gone, but added a "Hide away front bunk bed" over the front seats - optional.
And, they have added railing to the ramp to make it a "Party Patio" - optional.
Looking forward to some pictures...or maybe to see one at a RV show.

Oooooh...and the 37LS (3611 model is gone) basement bin doors will swing TO THE SIDE!!! WooHoo!!!
Sorry riplinj...I just saw you posted that already...but that's a BIG DEAL to those of us that have been fighting the open-up bin doors (especially over the services bin).
For Cobra1...rooftop platform/ladder, huh?...what are you talking about?
The roof is a walk-on design, but for sure not a party deck. Heck, most of it is on an incline. The ladder is the one you buy and carry, 'cuz there was never one offered from the factory that I know of.

There is also a second Outlaw in the works. They are building one that is about 40' with a slide on both sides.
