I might be a Hurricane owner
Yesterday my son (ASE certified master mechanic) and I had a test drive with a 2001 Hurricane It is on a Ford chassis. We liked it very much. My son feels that the engine is in very good shape (55k miles), and the transmission shifts nice, crisp and smooth. We dorve the thing for about 20 Miles with different speeds, and everything seemed to be alright. My wife liked the unit because it was extremely clean inside, almost like new!
If the owner excepts my price offer, we will buy it.
Can you experienced Hurricane owners tell me, what you did with that large space between the divers seat and the side wall? It almost seems to be a waste to not utilize this space!
I have seen some other coaches that had kind of an armrest with a cup holder and some controls there. Is something like this available for a Hurricane? How would one fasten anything to the walls. I could see part of this space as being a good location for a CB radio.
What can be done to remove the chunk of a TV from the dash center, and replace it with a LCD unit hanging from some location at a wall. what can be done with the hole in the dash left by the TV?

Check to see what year the Ford v10 is. When they came out in 1999 some had problems with cast fillings left by the maching.

HERE's a thread with pics of a TV conversion with your specs (you might remember it since you posted in it).

I am now a Hurricane owner! My son (ASE certified Master Mechanic) looked the engine and trany over, and feels both are up to snuff.
I have now a 2001 29D Hurricane that looks as clean (inside and out) as if it was new, the previous owners took very good care of it

Thanks.
I have only a few pictures because the unit is still on its winter storage lot (about 50 miles from me)
