Question J-lounge sofa- need better sleeping space

We have a 2013 Thor Tuscany 40FX with a J-lounge sofa. Should have thought about this more carefully. When you fold it out into a bed, the blow up part is only as big as a twin bed. Our thoughts are that the blow up should fill in and make use of the entire couch - making a full to queen size bed. Seems like such a waste of sleeping space. Any thoughts or solutions????

will a bigger blow up mattress fit? Like a full size... they are somewhat inexpensive. Ditch the twin size....

We have the 40EX with the same lounge and you are right, the setup is very disappointing. The air mattress doesn't even fill the space and if you leave the black plastic wheels on the slideout portion they mark the floor. I changed mine to a white rubber type wheel. But the bed is for one.
It makes you wonder if anyone at Thor ever tried it out?

Not a great solution but it worked.

Thanks for your input. Glad to know that I'm not crazy. Just came back from a long trip. We met friends and they stayed with us for a while. I got a piece of foam to fill in the bed area to make it a level bed. The problem is storage. What a hassle! Thor needs to go to their inflatable bed company & give them the exact dimensions so they can make a blow up version to fill in the entire area to make a queen to king size bed. I'd be their 1st customer.

The best I have been able to find is a truck air mattress. Do a search for Sportz Air Mattress #32000 you'll find it is 75" x 47" x 5". Length and width are a nice fit the height is still somewhat taller than the couch (approx. 1-1/2") but a much better fit than the on supplied for about $70. The down side is you will need to purchase an external electric pump as the built in manual pump will take a long time.
