Large cable slides issue

Anyone else have problems with their large cable slides? We had our fixed at Camping World less than a year ago and it is broken again! Miserable vacation with bedroom slideout stuck in the entire time!

You don't say what your problem is but; your first mistake was taking it to Camping World. When I thought one of my cables was broken I ordered the cable, bought the correct tools and disassembled the system. What I found was that over time due to vibration the lock nuts come loose and the slide starts coming in crooked or the cable just falls off. In my case the cable was off. I reinstalled, adjusted cable tensions, then used Locktite blue on the nuts. I still carry the parts and tool to do the repairs but that was three years ago and I have not needed them yet.

Some folks have , as a safety, used a small tie wrap out where the cable connects to the slide brackets to keep the cable from coming disconnected if the cable(s) stretch any.....

Slideout is in all but about 4 inches on side where pantry is.. it won’t go out and it won’t go in all the way. It’s crooked. We are trying to get home, back to Florida!

Hint - if slide won't go out make bed with pillows at rear window until fixed. Once fixed cable inspection needs to be periodic item. High failure point is cable end connection at slide. Usually loose cable strands can be seen before failure. Also put hook on stick long enough to reach top cables from ground. With slide out push and pull cable in middle and there should be same amount of play. There are 8 cables - check 4 outside with slide out and 4 from inside with slide in.

yep 100%
and there is a replacement cable kit from BAL , its universal for their slides. and can be done on the road, although a good ladder and patience is required.
we did the kitchen slide on the road and it was an adventure but doable with the tools we had, i did go to Home depot and buy a cable cutter.
