Life Expectancy of a Skylight?

From the outside my skylight feels like a thin piece of plastic that's about to break open. Hard to describe but aren't they supposed to be pretty tough?

2013 model........ 4 years life for skylight?

Ours is a 2012 and replaced earlier this year because it cracked. New is much thicker and different material.

The cover for our fan in the bathroom didn't last a year before it was falling apart.

Ours is 8 years old and still no leaks. Looked fine in the spring when I checked it prior to 4 month trip. I guess I will keep a close eye on it moving forward.

A lot will depend on how much exposure to the elements it has, especially UV. Ours is 11 years old & is still fine. Ours was covered by an RV cover 6+ months out of the year 1st 4 years & for the last 7 it has been parked under an RV port.

Ours was cracked when we got the MH. I thought they were pretty flimsy too and replaced it with one I made from fiberglass cloth and resin using the old skylight as a mold. Cost was about $50.00. It's been in place two years and should last many more.

9 years and still good but the skylight on our 2008 Astoria may have been made better.

The one in our '02 DSDP was still in good shape after 13 years. I did spray it with 303 a couple times a year though.
