Macerator change to big clean out hose

We are traveling and have broken our macerator pump. We can't find another flojet macerator that is in stock. We think we would like to have both options, macerator and gravity hose...is this possible and is it hard to do? Thanks

What outlet provisions does your RV have for dumping? If the macerator was mounted to a twist off 3" cap with a dump valve, it's just a matter of twisting on the stinky slinky. If it doesn't have provisions for the slinky, an RV parts store can provide the parts you need.

I took the macerator off our ACE and just use the slinky hose now. You just need to buy extra long one to reach the other side of RV. Even though I did like having the macerator, I was just affraid of what happened to you happening. But it would be very easy to hook it back up, as easy as connecting a sewer hose.

Thanks everyone. We took off the macerator and hooked up a slinky hose but now we are wondering if it's possible to install a new macerator and have the slinky hooked up also with some type of Y connection and new shut off valve so that we can choose to use either if we need too? We appreciate your help.

Hello I have both options installed in my ACE 29.2, on this site last summer someone posted a list of parts and pics. Basically I added a Y with a gate valve so I can dump slinky or macerator. Unfortunately if I dump slinky it is on the passengers side. Not a big deal except the valves are on the drivers side.

I had 1 pump go out and replaced it myself it took about 45 mins.

You have to bend yourself in half but it works great now.
