My 2014 Challenger 37KT outside TV upgrade

I started my upgrade to the outside TV today. I plan on putting a VIZIO 32 LCD TV and 29' VIZO sound bar to replace the the 26' Jenson TV , Jenson Radio and Speakers . I will also have a TV mount that will tilt down for better viewing.

This is what I started with :

Had to remove the couch in living room

removed wiring access panels behind the couch :

Removed the counter top behind the couch:

Had to take off the outside hatch so you can access all 8 screws that hold the inner frame to the wall.

once the screws are out you can pick the frame out from the inside through the top of the cabinet that had the counter top on it.

Here is a the inner boxed removed .

I will start my plans on the new box. I will update this as I go .

Well here is the finished product. I'm just waiting on 2 ball joint brackets to come in from KENCO. I couldn't get the old brackets off because they put on with some sort of spline bolt. I contacted KENCO and they are sending me 2 brackets for FREE !!

Thanks BigDaddy for the posts and pics ..

I am just about ready to throw in the towel on running coax and hdmi cables into the slides .. I'm using a DirecTV Slimline swm HD sat on a tripod external to the coach .. With a receiver on the floor under the couch .. an hdmi splitter .. to allow the external tv and the desk tv to share the receiver. I am planning on putting another receiver in the cabinet behind the tv in the bedroom and run an hdmi cable through the cabinet to the tv in the dining area .. However, as noted above, I cannot for the life of me figure out a way to run the coax into the slides? CW said that they could do it .. but .. it's gonna cost me a days worth of labor .. a BIG OUCH!

Also .. I noticed in one of the pics .. that behind the couch, you removed what appears to be 3 panels for access? .. Just wondering ... my coach does not have a middle panel? Does yours? I am going to make one as it's an eyesore when the bed is out ..
Thanks
John

I have a HDMI splitter running from the sat box from inside the coach in the cabinet above windshield. It runs from there to the inside tv and out to the tv in the slide. CW world ran these cables for me when they installed the traveler sat for me. They also ran RG6 for me to the back tv where I have a second box to control the kitchen tv and bedroom tv from the second HDMI splitter. I can try and take some pic's for you if you want.
Also I can control the outside TV with a RF remote from direct tv.

The third access panel may have been put there by CW when they did this install.

Pics or even just a brief description of how they managed to get the hdmi cables into the front slides .. and the coax into the back slide .. would be great.

It looks like it will be fairly simple to route the coax along the frame to the rear .. so it's just a matter of how and where to bring it into the slide..
Thanks .. I really appreciate the help.

Into the engine capartment on passenger side

Much easier to get HDMI trasnsmitter and receiver from Amazon and then you can put your TV anywhere you want. No cables to run. I use one to send HDMI to outside TV. I only have SD DirectTV but by using HD Tuner I get 1080i picture from SD SAT feed, no HD channels just higher definition picture. Makes a noticable difference. For my outside TV I just used a very inexpensive 32" LCD TV that I keep in back of my closet when not needed. I've installed a mount that I can put the TV into outside under my kitchen slideout. Use the same setup to hookup my blueray DVD player and XBox to the TV.

Then goes into the slide here, same thing for inside TV on the other side.

Then it will come into the slide under the couch, then you can run it to the outside TV through the access panels behind the couch.Note the HDMI for the inside tv goes into a hole in the slide that looks just like this one. Behind the TV is a open area and sure it come up through there to the TV.
Now for the back TV with RG6 cable. It runs along the frame on the passenger side then goes into the large slide via the small capartment (single) on passenger side.

Then into the large slide.

up into the closet as you walk into the bedroom on the left.

then at the top to the TV cabinet.

view from inside the bedroom tv cabinet.

Note the HDMI cable to kitchen TV comes through this same hole.

Run HDMI cable to kitchen TV through the same hole above, then through this hole in the closet.
