New 2013 Thor ACE 29.2 Owners

Hello,

First, this forum has been fantastic! As new owners we are loving all the mods people have done and your helpful tips.

Our 2013 29.2 was purchased with under 9,000 miles from original FL owners off eBay. The price was great so went for it only having viewed pictures online. Over all we are pleased with purchase but not told about several issues that we have corrected and are now correcting.

The first was to get rid of the "roach coach" we drove home. Four bug bombs later and vacuuming and scrubbing the interior and bays from top to bottom I can now say we are roach free. It's a good thing I didn't hear them on our rush drive home as I would have freaked out and left the thing on the side of the highway. At least 88 of the buggers found after getting home and 2nd bug bomb used. Waited a few weeks and set off another two bombs and non appeared then or since. WHEW!

We are currently busy checking several comfort/convenience mods off our list of things to do to our RV. I look forward to using the RV this coming week on my first solo road trip.

We have a 2012 and are very pleased with it. We have put 20,000 miles on it and are satisfied with this very livable unit for two people.

Great to know! I plan on using ours to go back and forth to dog shows and then with my husband and son for occasional family trips. I take my first solo trip with it Thanksgiving day.

we have the 2013 ace 29.2... currently it is at CW because the jacks won't work....we purchased an extended warranty and are waiting to hear from CW.....we had issues with the slide...would not retract...and the step didn't work...
we are presently in California and are heading to Alaska in May....just the two of us and we have been on the road for four years....

Coming from Florida, it was probably expected to have the bugs in your rig. That would be just nasty living down there. Congrats on the new rig, if you need anything, lots of experience on the boards here to help.
