New Member Problems with Shower Leak

hey! hi! hello there! i’m kimi … relatively a newbie to the full time rv life, i have lotsa learnin to do! most urgent issue is a water ‘leak’ that seems to be comin from behind/under my shower.
i acquired my 2021 zinger340bh in august of that year. at that time, i moved into and had been living full time in north eastern PA. in mid december of ‘21, i hooked up and hauled the zinger to a little town outside gainesville, FL … all by my onsie! what a ride THAT was!
now, just shy of completing my first year as a floridian, i’ve noticed water comin from under the shower. currently i have turned off the outside connection to town water (as well as the water heater and pump) and that seems to have remedied the situation, momentarily.
does anyone happen to know how i can access the water lines BEHIND the shower? there are two screws at the front base of the shower (just below the sliding door) that i really wanna remove … thinkin that will expose the underneath of the unit but i am nervous. i feel as though that lil panel maybe the opening to a bigger issue than i’m already having.
please? any advise would be a blessing! much appreciate the time taken to read my plight!
and … THANKS for allowing me to join this community! i hope to learn a lot and maybe make a few rv connections! lol.

also… if i should have posted this in one of the other forums, please don’t hesitate to direct me
that way. obviously, i’m still on the learning curve! TY

I think your Zinger is a travel trailer. I could not find a floor plan for it on the net. I am also not familiar with your RV. You may have better responses if you post under RV Forums/Travel Trailer discussion. They posters there will be more familiar with your RV.

A site moderator can more your post for you.

Having said all that, my best guess is the leak is in one of the two water lines supplying the shower diverter as opposed to a drain or shower enclosure leak. I think this because the leak being present without using the shower and stopping when you shut the water off outside. Most likely the wall will have to be opened on the opposite side of the diverter (shower valve). I have pulled these panels in the past and repaired plumbing then replaced them. It takes patience to avoid damage.

Check the bunk wall behind the shower for a panel.

Is this your floor plan? You may be able to remove the refrigerator from the outside kitchen and gain access to the leak that way. Where exactly i

do you see the water coming from? I assume your shower valve (diverter) is located on the flat corner in the shower. You may be able to at least see where the leak is coming from by removing the fridge.

First check for removable panels like Mfire suggested.
If after finding no panels and removing the fridge, you may have to make your own access panel.

Thumbs up

CRISIS AVERTED!!!
after searching for hours throughout every square inch of the Zinger’s 40’ inside and out, i found four little screws, covered with decorative and deceptive ‘caps’ holding the shower knob panel in place on the wall i’d been looking around the entire time!
thankfully, it seems to have been an easy fix thus far. i simply tightened the connectors holding the water lines in place on the back of the panel. i used a bit of plumbing tape on the connectors to ensure this is a less likely situation in the future. i had to remove all the caulking along the edges and let the area breath for a full 36 hours before replacing it. currently, the new caulk line is drying. i’ll let that go for at least 48 hours before attempting to use the shower again.
thanks for all the advise! it’s pretty awesome to have support like this community has expressed in the last few days! i am certainly thankful for y’all helpin a new comer out durin the holiday week!
much love
