2014 thor 36mq
Have learned quite a bit reading on all the irv2 forums and now have a question. Does anyone have a 2014 Thor 36mq? DH and I are very close to purchasing one we were shown today at CW in Chichester and would appreciate some input. Oh, we are a week into retirement and ready to GO!
Thanks,
Mae
Sorry, I post this under general conversation at first and have, hopefully moved here. M

New buyer

My experience from buying a new unit is Make sure everything works before you leave the dealer or sign the papers. They work a lot harder and quicker when they know a sale is pending. Some issues you will have to live with. Remember a motorhome is a lot more complicated than a house.

enjoy, Dave

I recommend you do a search on Tuscany to see all the past comments but don't let them scare you off as you will see a lot of issues. A lot unfortunately is normal. Strongly second a good PDI that you do yourself. Do a search on PDI for some good resources. If this is your first DP make sure the PDI includes complete education on all systems.

This forum is an excellent resource and you will learn a lot from it. Much of what is in threads on the Palazzo will also apply on the Tuscany.

You can and should download the Tuscany owners manual before you buy and read it since it will help with your PDI and questions that it will generate. Freightliner manual is also available and informative.

Some of e problems I see reported on irv2 could be averted if the owners did a more thorough PDI and knew more about operation of the systems ahead of time.

We enjoy our Palazzo and hope you have a great time with your Tuscany. Hopefully we will see you at the Thor Diesel Club rally in Myrtle Beach.

X2 on this suggestion to do your PDI prior to signing the final paperwork!

Jack:
Off topic but is there something other than the site reservation needed for the TDC rally in MB?

Tom,
Not at this time but as soon as they get all of the costs settled then they will have a registration form that must be submitted along with payment. There will be an email at some point informing everyone to download the registration form from the WEB site and send it in.
Thanks!
Jack
