No Radio or Backup Camera

I talk with a thor tech support person and i explain what my problem was , which is my back up camera and my radio work sometime and he told me to check the inline fuse on a line that go to my battery just wondering if anyone would know which line and if it was close to the battery box.

Maybe someone with a 2017 Freedom Elite or 2017 class C can answer more specifically. My guess would be that an "in line" fuse would be located close to the power wire entering the radio. May require radio removal from dash to access the fuse behind the radio.

The sometimes that it doesn't work, so you have your disconnect on? The radio and backup camera run from the house battery.

Exactly! This puzzled me some when we first got ours. Battery disconnect must be on for the radio / camera to work.

The original Jensen radio and camera unit in my 2013 Palazzo abruptly failed earlier this year. I found the wire removal tool in the collection of instructions and appliance info. I pulled it forward far enough to check the fuse and connections and everything looked okay. These earlier units apparently have a high failure rate; the radio was replaced with the updated Jensen and it has worked well so far.

I have ordered a replacement for my radio. Did you do the replacement yourself of hand it off to a tech. Any issues I should expect? Did you get the Jensen JRV9000R?

Update on radio replacement: My original radio bricked and I replaced with the updated Jensen JRV9000R. It seems to be a high quality replacement. I believe it even sounds better. I also added the sirius module and this works well. It comes with a free three months and I have an offer for an additional 12 months for $60. I have not yet tried to the gps unit. Heading over to Gaffney to the FCCC Service Center tomorrow. Perhaps I will get a chance to use it.

The replacement was fairly simple with the recommended additional wiring harness. I did have to ease the edges with a rasp to make the frame fit.
