No water pressure in kitchen & No hot water in bathroom

We had very little water pressure in the the kitchen, Hot or Cold. There was no hot water pressure, but plenty of cold water pressure in the bathroom. It turned out to be the cold water feed to the kitchen had slipped out of the channel under the slide and was pinched. I pulled the water line out and tucked it back in the channel, and now I need to figure how to keep it from happening again.

I am posting this again with a better title so it is easier to find if someone has the same issue.

I was thinking that too, but there is too much movement. I just have to figure out how to lay the hoses so they can move and not get caught.

Looks like that was all supposed to be laid of laying on top of the plastic that has been nibbled away. Thor is unafraid to have hoses moving or sliding with the slideouts. It did not work very well on my brandy new 2011 28Z. The propane hose would kink and build up liquid. maybe if they had put a spring on the outside of the hose it would have worked. Hope you get it all fixed but a thought to me was how to protect from freezing in cold weather? Those water lines were laying on thin plastic now that has been nibbled away so they are right out in the elements.

It does not look like the hoses were meant to be weather proof. That bit of flat plastic looks complete, just all bent up. And it sounds like it is getting more bent up every time the slide goes in. I am thinking of adding another flat plastic panel that will stay and cover the hoses as the slide moves. The problem there is that then I would not be able to check the hoses as easy. To be continued....

No Water Pressure No Hot Water

No Hot Water and No Water Pressure…

New 2024 28Z PDI operations completed. Once home over next few weeks got familiar with the operation of each appliance and system.
When I got to the hot water system I could not get any hot water. Went thru the trouble shooting and found the thermal cut off fuse was bad. So I replaced the thermal cut off fuse and now had hot water.
Then when I put the slide in I noted I then had no hot or cold water pressure. Turned the water pump off then back on and noted slim to no water again no cold or hot.
What made me do it I don’t know but put the slide out so I could have more room to pace the aisle back and forth and scratch my head.
I turned the pump back on and checked the facets and shower and magic we now had water flow and pressure. I turned the pump off then on to see if the problem returned and still had flow and pressure. Problem solved?
I closed the slide and problem returned no flow and no pressure.
Pulled the drawers out under sink and cabinet partition to look at water lines.
What I found was when the slide was in the water lines would bind and be bent restricting flow.
See pictures attached; water lines binding

It was kind of depressing looking at the poor install and also the fact I could not get to the lines easily to replace the PEX fittings and replace the PEX lines that were now damaged.
Also noted was the wire bundle that was not installed properly which when the slide was retracted it also would be bent and crushed.
Just matter of time before the water lines would fail and the wires would be severed.

Again during PDI all items and operations were covered but note slide was out and we ran the water facets and shower but didnt wait for the hot water we just talked thru the water miser and hot water propane and electric heater.

The fix for accessible damaged fittings and the PEX was a pain. The question now if it fails then how do I get under floor to get to the PEX damaged I couldn’t replace? I imagine or hope there is a way to gain access from under the RV thru a cover to those water lines. If someone has the answer please let me know so I’ll be ready.

Truly love the 28Z but depressing is the quality of the build. And as you can see in the pictures THOR doesn’t clean as you go in the build. You can see all the FOD, leftover cut tie wraps and debris.

Anyway hope this helps others that may have water pressure issues.

THOR maybe hit up your team that installs these PEX water lines to ensure that they don’t get crushed and bent to include the electric bundle.
So hard to believe this is what your people do on an assembly line and worse supervisors allow.
I hope you pay your people like **** because this pictures truly identify ****** workmanship.
Again love the THOR 28Z but as a client/consumer I would expect in this day and age better quality and pride in the product from the people that are privileged to build and also be employed.

Thor Motorcoach is more interested in selling as many units as possible; quality control is secondary and incidental, more likely luck is also a factor. Poor QC and shoddy build quality from entry level to high end diesel pushers. Ask me how I know (2022 Thor Vegas 24.3).
