Opening in slides of 2022 Challenger 37FH

Can anyone tell me what the openings under the slides are for? One looks like it under the residential refrigerator and the other on the driver side is under the sofa.

The one on the passenger side is to pass by the connections for flexible grey tank connections that come up through the main floor and some other things, it is under the pantry floor next to refrigerator, and gives you some access to some plumbing and wiring. The driver side under couch I believe is for holding slideout in place incase of roll over because it's behind the driver, don't ask why because I don't have a clue.

Thank you for the info. I thinking I may put a screen over the openings to prevent bugs etc from getting in. Good idea?

No, if you look closely the rubber flap is cut end to end and above that there is a bag that is also cut but with velcro so they can separate around the pipes and wires coming up through the main floor as the slide moves in and out. Anything solid will act as a guillotine and cut everything as slide moves in.
