Outlaw, Gray water and boondocking

I was reading about what the BLM defines as gray water when you're boondocking.

It's defined as only water that comes from the shower, bathroom sinks and clothes washer. These in most cases can be dumped to the ground.

Kitchen sink, dishwasher and the potty are all considered black water and cannot be dumped.

So the question I have is what is connected to the gray tanks on Outlaws, especially the 38RE, and what is connected to the black tanks.

First off, I cannot write to your specific rig, and I have never own one with a dishwasher and/or washer dryer.
As when we boondock, water is usually limited.
I also am not going to say all rigs are like I am going to describe.
So, I'll try to answer your question.
The only thing that normally is plumbed (in my experience) to the black tank is the toilet. Everything else is plumbed to the gray tank, and if you are in an area that allows the dumping of gray water (in my experience) you can dump whatever is plumbed to the gray tank.

I hope this has helped.

Your kitchen sink is connected to the gray water in the Outlaw and most other RV's.

The Outlaw 38RE has 1 Grey and 2 Black tanks.

Like Scott (Focker) wrote, the grey tank is for the kitchen sink and the shower in the main bathroom.
The rear half bath has it's own tank (toilet and sink waste).
The main bath sink and toilet feed the main Black tank.

I do not know about the tankage in the new Outlaw 38RF.

Safe travels

Too bad they did it that way but then maybe they never checked on how the BLM defines each location. The rear is a problem just because of its distance from the main tanks however the front could be reworked. Oh well it is what it is.

Strangely in the 33SW, they plumb the bathroom sink to the black tank. The kitchen sink and shower are all that go to the gray tank. Not that it matters, but just throwing it out there that Thor does some weird stuff sometimes. But when boondocking, it does matter, because you don't want to fill up your black tank just from using your bathroom sink. When we are boondocking, we use the kitchen sink for bathroom sink duties such as brushing teeth and washing hands.

Our bathroom sink also goes to the black tank. I suspect this is ease of implementation as well as try to make sure there is sufficient water in the tank to help break things down and flow things out.

I doubt BLM rules were high (or even included) on the list of concerns when building these things.
