Outlaw slow awning retraction

I read somewhere that a slow retracting power awning may be due to a bad ground connection in the system. Would that connection be located at the top end of the awning arm by the motor, or somewhere in the coach where the power comes through? I'd like to track this down myself and am curious as to whether anyone has 'fixed' this on their own.

My Outlaw's awning is also slow. I was very concerned about it when we first got the rig but then I saw a Thor video demonstration of the unit where the awning was also slow. Figured, that's just the speed and don't let it bother me anymore...

Make sure bushing/bearing on the tube, opposite the side with the motor, is lubed.

What type of lube do you use? Just spray on or does it have a grease fitting? Never have done mine, probably needs it.
