Paint Defect

Anyone else have this problem with the paint on their coach? It's flaking off on the trim piece (screw cover) that runs the length of the coach at the roof line. I have been told by THOR's paint contractor that they may have used a plastic for this trim piece that will not accept paint. The dealer where I bought the coach has provided a $1,600 estimate for repair, which includes replacement and painting of the trim pieces. Have sent photos and estimate to painter and THOR customer service...waiting for a response.

Bad prep and painter. This should be covered by Thor in my opinion.

Since there have been no other responses, it appears this is a paint prep/application problem and not a widespread issue caused by the THOR part not taking paint.
Since my coach is beyond one year THOR warranty, they said nothing they can do.
Painter gives two year warranty on his work. Hopefully I can get some help from him.
