My 34E Hurricane didn't come with the outside patio television. However, I can appreciate how it can be fun or convenient to have at times.

Is this a modification that can be done after the fact?

Sure ... all you need is a place to put it, 120vac, an antenna/sat connection, a suitable articulated mount, and beer ... and maybe a decent NFL game.

Here is how I did mine in my 2006 Hurricane. The compartment is only 26 inches deep so I was limited to a 24" TV. I use a pillow keep it in place. It is not HD yet,but in the future will be. I put a splitter in my bedroom Tv cable behind my switch box and ran the coax down the pillar and under the dash and under the floor into the compartment. I added an outlet when I installed a whole house inverter. This TV has been working great for 2 years so far.

Note: I had to add washers under my plywood at the top bolts to vertical level the mounting base. If I didn't, the TV was crooked when it is swung out

I have a 27 ft ACE and what I did was mount a universal tv flat mount to the side of the coach and that way I can take my extra 40 Samsung flat screen LED and hang it there then take it back down when not in use. I cant get regular stations on it since I don't have it hooked to the satellite, but I use it for playing DVDs and place the dvd player on the table next to the tv. It works great

How did you mount it to the side of the coach? Pictures?

Where do you store a 40" TV while you are traveling?

I bought the 25 dollar universal flat mount at best buy and attached it to the left /of the power outlet on the ACE. It is screwed in and also has silicon putty in the screw holes to avoid any moisture. I keep the tv in a large padded bag that came with my Jeep for the T-Top and place it next to the bed. Hope this helps I will take a pic and try to send it to you I have never posted a pic on the forum and not sure how to do it but will try

Nice setup. Think about this, what if you ran a HDMI or coax cable to the back of the refrigerator, then you could open the access panel and uncoil the cable for TV reception. I have met some of my nice neighbors while watching Sunday afternoon football, with a cold one, under the awning.

Instead of silicone try this stuff. It works well to seal the trim pieces along the side of the RV. Nothing sticks to silicone, not even silicone.

Thank you for your great ideas!

However, I did run across the GoStick Suction Cup TV mount since my post.

Interestingly, the company has not responded to my emails that I have sent to them regarding their liability for delamination or damage to the fiberglass of modern motorhomes.

Has anyone tried one of the GoStick suction cup mounts?

Just over a year ago I did see someone mount a television bracket and a small LED television to a Harbor Freight suction cup mount, (has two suction cups). It was a small 20" tv that probably weighed less than 10 pounds.

The GoStick is advertised to hold up to 40", 30 pound television.
