Replacing stock axxera dash unit on 2017 Outlaw 37BG. Any guides for dummies like me?
Hi! I have a 2017 Thor Outlaw 37BG. We're gearing up for a family trip and the family has decreed that I must replace the Axxera AV377MB head unit. The biggest complaint is the fact that it mutes the radio any time the cameras are on (meaning not just in reverse, but also when switching lanes). There's also a faint background static that Thor said is "expected behavior" but I'm crossing fingers may be fixed with a new unit.
The problem is that I can't find anyone within a reasonable distance to do this for me, plus I just demolished an already tight budget by replacing all the tires on the RV.
Knowing how handy the users here are, I'm hoping that someone can point me to a step-by-step guide that even a dummy like me can handle. I've tried searching here and on Google, but I'm not seeing anything, so please forgive me if I've missed an obvious resource.
I haven't bought a new unit, yet, as I assume there are parameters I'll need to keep in mind which would be mentioned in the guide.
Thanks in advance for any and all help!

If your only issue is the interruption from the turn signals, you might consider adding a dash mounted display for the cameras. The dash unit will no longer affected by the turn signals.
I have done this on two coaches, would do it again on any dash mounted camera system.
If you are interested in this I can walk you through the process. Cost will be under $100.

Before ordering any parts, find your switching module and disconnect the video output plug (Yellow RCA). Then operate the dash display and check to see if it works without the interruptions you have now. If the interruptions continue with the plug disconnected then there is a switching signal going to the dash monitor that will need to be disconnected. In my case it was a white wire.
Find your switching module. Disconnect the yellow plug from the switching module output. Connect the yellow display plug to the switching module output. Hook up 12 volt power and ground to new display. If I remember correctly you do not need to hook up the reverse switch wire on the new display, just cap it off.

PS:
If you only want the rear camera and not the side cameras, there is an easier way to do it than above. You can add the dash top display and wire rear camera directly to it, completely eliminating the switching module. There is an adapter to connect the camera to the display.

Pesky posts that you can turn the side cameras off in the Axxera settings. Oh, but I see you are there already!

Thank you for the great help! I won't have the RV here to tinker with for a little while, but look forward to trying your advice!
