Seat Footrest Motor Drive

The housing on my motor drive for the passenger side footrest has broken. I'm looking for a replacement but having trouble finding the correct model. The motor unit lists Smith Richards, Inc. as the manufacturer, but I cannot find any kind of model number or serial number on the unit. Smith Richards, Inc. seems to have two different models with very vague descriptions. Models 538248 and 538252. I'm not sure if either is the correct model, but the photos sure look like my unit. Its for my 2017 Thor Aria 3401. Anyone have any experience with this kind of thing??

You might try calling Thor. If they don' know the motor part #, and they probably don't, they may be able to give you the seat manufacturer. Who ever made the seat may have info on the motor.

Looking at the Smith Richards website, they do show dimensions on one of the product views for each motor. I copied and pasted the image to Paint3D. Was able to read some dimensions.

Threaded shaft length: 4.5 "
Threaded shaft end to opposing mounting hole center: 6.27"


Model 538252


Threaded shaft length: 6.2 "
Threaded shaft end to opposing mounting hole center: 8.07"


Both are 7/16" shaft diameter

Try Amazon. I have found several things for my Thor Venetian there and got them in a couple days.

I ordered the short shaft model from Smith Richards, Inc. Its very similar in dimensions and construction to my original. It will be here tomorrow so we shall see.
