Should the furnace have two speed fan?

My furnace appears to only have one speed. The fan blows at the same rate whether I have it on high or low with the system setting on heat.

The fan does have a high and low speed when running the Fan or Cool setting.

I did switch my thermostat from the OE manual Coleman Mach to the Digital 8330-386 model. However, I believe it was the same with the manual thermostat too.

Hi Eric,
My "furnace fan" has high and low settings but does not appear to make a differance on either setting. Cool setting is a different story.
Regards,
Ted

Good. Then I guess mine is not broken.
Although I find it a bit weird. My previous motorhome had high/low for the heat.
You could all but heat the parking lot on high! lol

Due to the way an RV furnace works, I do not think they would put in a 2-speed fan.. here is why

When the T-Stat calls for heat the blower starts blowing,, When the wind speed is high enough a "Sail Switch" closes, then heat is generated (Assuming everything works)

Many have reported that as little as a throw rug over a heat vent can cut down the flow enough to prevent ignition, or low batteries (a very common problem) which slow the fan just a bit.

Thus a 2-speed fan would... Not close the switch if on low.

In addition to what wa8yxm posted, if it is the typical RV thermostat, the 2 speed selector switch refers to the overhead A/C fan.
