Just think of all the money Thor will save if they can make the process as difficult as possible, yet still comply with the recall notification.
Agreed...

Just recently tried to order a $2 part for my RV right from the manufacture who makes the part. They said no. They have to sell it to Keystone, they have to sell it to the dealer, then they can sell it to you the poor customer. But now it's going to be $16 and 30 days to get.

At what point does the customer feel like a customer anymore? Obviously not in the RVing industry anymore. Why do they make it so hard.

I wonder how someone figured out this thing does not meet flame rating?

Possible ways:

1. Grilling while in the shower?

2. Doing some welding/torch work in the bath?

3. Propane tank exploded? (Found while sifting though ashes and debris of what used to be an RV)

4. Someone was trying on their Hunger Games, Catching Fire, Halloween costume?

Any ideas?

You can do a VIN search at the NHTSA site

Just mail it to me and I will install it.
I talked to Thor twice. It is a 240 miles round trip. And we have 3-6 inches of snow on the ground. NO, they say. I have to have it installed by an authorized Thor dealer. I asked Bretz in Billings three times to order it and they have not done it.

The only good thing is the recall doesn't expire.

I had the dealer order me two (2) shower curtains and I paid for them ($60.00), I should have them this week. I make waay too much money to have to go through the hoops for a recall, time is money. I'll just change it out myself and have a spare. Not worth the time to drop off the rig, wait, pick it back up. I have a little mildew in the bottom seam of the curtain, so I wanted to swap it out anyhow. Probably need to swap these out every few years anyhow.

5) They made it that way on purpose, waited a few months until we bought one and then sent out the recall. More money for Thor....

Looking forward to your experience.

I called Camping World to check on the status of the my work order. Was told "don't call regarding this, we will call you when we are ready to do it". It has been pending 3-4 weeks now.

Seems to me that we should be able to turn in the old curtain in exchange for the new non-explosive model. No need to schedule a service call at CW.

Had mine replaced while in for another item.
Looks pretty much the same. It appears a bit softer.
Magnets still don't work properly in keeping the door closed.

Mine's been at CW since Oct. 4th - got a call last week and another one this week that the shower curtain has been ordered but they had no idea when it would get here. I asked about the exchange - take my old one out, I'll come and pick up my coach and you can send me the new one when it comes in. I was told since it was a recall - their tech's had to removed the old and install the new one to make certain it was done properly. Sounded good to me - I'm in no hurry.
