Sliding bedroom door

2015 THOR ACE 27.1 out of warranty.

While on a recent trip down the Oregon coast, I noticed the bedroom door was not sliding well. I looked up and found the "runner" that the door slides thru had pulled out of the ceiling and was just hanging on. After the trip I investigated more and with little to do the runner and the attached door were and are now lying on the bed. 1) Has anyone else had this problem? 2) There seems to be little support in the ceiling, estimate 1/4 fiber board and I can not locate ceiling studs which mfg. seems to have missed if they are there at all. I tried small Molly bolts but am having trouble getting traction and proper alignment. 3) Help, I need suggestions. We are not in a rush but really can't use RV until repaired.

Similar thing happened on my Winnebago Vista, the track screws pulled out of the ceiling after about 30 days of use, the trigger for me was the strap holding the door in fixed location for travel broke and the door was moving back and forth during travel putting extra stress on everything before I discovered the situation. I repaired the track mounting problem by going up one size on all the screws using the same holes, bought same length and type screws, just bigger around. Think I had to use a drill to enlarge the track holes to accomodate the larger screw size. You may have to drill new holes you likely made my fix un-usable if you enlarged the holes trying to use moly bolts.

The one size larger screws with the same spacing has held for 5 months now, so far so good.

Same problem on my coach last year while we were on a 6 month trip. I ended up using larger diameter screws and I bought two small angle brackets. I screwed the brackets to the walls at the end of the rail so the bracket would hold the rail from slipping down.
