Spare tire info

If you are considering carrying a spare tire on your mh, don't assume the size you need is readily available. I called a local Michelin dealer today to find out the tire I need is on national back order and not in production.

Dealer suggested going online to FMCA site and get a list of local Michelin dealers and call each to see if they had the particular tire in stock. Luckily, the 2nd dealer I contacted had what I need.

Lesson here is don't wait till last minute. Imagine if I'd had a flat while on the road. Just FYI.

I carry a bare spare for just that reason. 19.5's are common, but my specific size isn't.

However worst case, I could replace a front with a new 19.5 tire that is a different size if I had a bad front, or replace both fronts and move the two fronts to be a new dual if I had a bad tire on the back.
