Looks just like the one I have on my Daybreak. It is adjustable. The arm in your picture that goes from the top of the coach downward has the adjustment notches (looks like you have 4 total). The other arm has pins that you have to depress to get the arms to adjust.

I checked the Carefree website and what I have is the "Travel'r Non Adjustable" model:

My 29.2 has a nice slope when the awning is fully extended. I had some trouble getting my awning extended the first few times, but it is working fine now. Mine is electric.

Yes, mine slopes fairly well too. Enough for rainwater to run off without pooling. When I open the awning I occasionally have to grab one of the arms and give it a little help to get started. May be because the coach is not completely level.

My 2012 ACE isn't adjustable either. Thor must have changed awning models for the 2013"s.

Please excuse my late joining this discussion but I am wrestling with this same issue with our recently acquired ACE 29.2. I've read the manual, located the arms with the pins but, with the awning fully extended, I cannot get either arm to budge when pressing the button. It's as though I haven't depressed the button far enough or the slide is in a bind. Is there something I'm missing? Should the area be lubed in some way? I appreciate any help.

The awning switch has two positions. Extend and retract. Does the motor engage in either mode? You should be able to get the end of the awning to roll in either direction without the arms being a factor. (Not far, just twisting to begin the roll up/out process)

If the motor is not able to reverse direction in the fully extended position, you have a switch or motor problem. If it is able to move and twist in both directions before it binds up, then you should disassemble the arms from the MH and look for the cause of your bind. Those arms are pretty easy to remove, however due to size of the awning, it is a two person job. The wind will take it away from you in a heartbeat. Trust me..... I have been there!

Sorry I was apparently a bit vague with my post. My question deals with adjusting the pitch of the awning on my 2013 ACE 29.2. The awning extends and retracts just fine but it sticks straight out from the side of the coach with no slope to allow rainwater to run off.

The manual describes the manner in which the awning pitch can be adjusted by depressing the little button on the front and rear slide arms. The button I referenced is not the IN/OUT electrical switch on the panel but the spring loaded buttons on the awning's front and rear slide arms which, according to the manual when depressed, will allow those arms to be shortened, or lengthened, thus changing the pitch of the awning, lowering or raising the outside edge of the awning.

Restating my concern: I am unable to move those slide arms when I've depressed the spring loaded button. As near as I can tell, the awning is one that can be adjusted since it has those buttons and six adjustment holes on the two arms.

I have the same type awning on my Thor Challenger. I was able to adjust the pins by retracting the awning all the way then extending it about a foot. In that position it was easy to adjust the arms.

Does one need to then place it back to full extension prior to bringing the canopy back in for storage?

No, I regularly put my awning out part way and then retract it.
