Thor ACE Swivel Seats

The driver and passenger seats are really difficult to swivel. Is there some adjustment or lubrication that can make them easier to swivel.

Me and the soon to be DW was looking at the ACE mainly the 30.1 but looked at all floor plans and found based on the model that the seats are very difficult to swivel with the steering wheel and depending on the model, couch or dinette. After some work at Tom Raper RV Sales with a nice sales person, I learned that you have to move back, turn, move back, turn, etc until your able to swivel the seats and clear the steering wheel. Some we looked at swiveled easier than others so this might be tight from lack of use and maybe over time they will loosen up. Hope that helps.

We tried to swivel the drivers seat around once, we couldn't get it tilted back enough for a comfortable position because of the steering wheel. Am I missing something that would make it more comfortable, we had the steering wheel tilted up as far as it would go?

we have the 29.2 and pulled the seat (driver's) as far forward as we could....move the arms up and down while turn the chair...only problem is you need a foot stool unless you don't mind your legs dangling...as for the passenger seat..did the same thing but the couch won't allow it to turn as far as the driver's sear...

There is a system to swiveling the driver chair. You have to move the armrests up and down around the steering wheel. Then once you get it turned around you can still slide the chair out further, then I recline it to the same angle as the tilt wheel. Only other thing needed is a footrest, I use a cooler. It's the best seat in the rig.

agree..the best seat when swiveled around...we use a step stool as the foot rest...would e nicer to have one built in....as for the passenger seat...the jack knife sofa prevents it to swivel toward the tv...

I've wondered if the passenger seat could be mounted farther forward to allow it to clear the couch. Haven't heard of anyone doing this yet.

I have got the driver seat figured for easy turning. Tilt steering wheel up as high as it will go. Move seat as far back as it will go. Tilt the seat back forward and it slips around easily.

I can only get our seats to swivel about 90 degrees so they face each other. We have a 2014 ACE 30.1. Should they go farther around?

Not too hard

Drivers seat...the gear is stiff, but gets better. Use gear to push seat back as far as it will go, use lever on upper part of seat to push top of the seat completely forward. Make sure steering wheel is in highest position. Use other lever and seat turns completely around. The passenger seat can only go 90 degrees so it is faced exactly beside the couch seat.
