Thor challanger

Considering the purchase of a 2015 Thor Challenger GT. Have read some VERY negative reviews. Is this a bad model, bad year, or just the fact that negatives get posted a lot more quickly than positives? Shall I go see it and take it for a spin, or keep looking. Tell me why you love or don't love your Thor.

Tried posting this earlier, but it hasn't shown up. Hope this isn't a duplicate.
In addition to the negs that we see here, I have gone into Thor coaches in the past. The cabinets feel like they are made of card board!

Not true about the cabinets. We have a '16 Challenger with beautiful, Amish made, solid wood cabinets.

I'm glad to hear because they have some nice qualities. The ones I've looked at must have been cheaper models or something because they were cheap.

We love our 2016 Thor Challenger LX! The cabinets are beautiful solid wood. We have made a few upgrades to suit our liking.
We've had a few issues but they were resolved quickly by ourselves, Thor and the St. Augustine Camping World.
This is our 4th coach and have had this one over a year and have to say we are very pleased and would definitely buy another Thor, maybe a Diesel next time.
Good luck with your decision!

We have a 2013 Challenger 37DT, and the cabinets are nice. Challenger is the gas flag ship of the Thor gas coaches. Just check it out, do a good walk through and run all appliances etc. We love our Challenger

We've had our 2015 Challenger 37TB for 20 months, criss crossed the US twice (once with 3 grandchildren on board), driven 29,000 miles, dry camped for more than 3 months at a time and spent more than 7 months per year living in our coach home. The features that have become important are the on board water storage (fresh, grey and black) that enable use of the washer/dryer in dry camp, multiple circuits powered off the inverter, huge storage in the basement, drivability and overall livability.

Remember that the Challenger is a gas chassis and as such gross weighs are limited. So all features become trade offs based on that limitation.

With all that said, I'd encourage you to look at feature for feature (gas or diesel) and compare against the Challenger. The Challenger scores VERY high. For us the important floor plan items were bunkbeds and drop down bunk in front.

We've had some issues but none that we didn't work through - all the while keeping on keeping on. Thor Customer Service has always been available and helpful.

Kinda funny - we've looked at adding more room to our coach. Only floor plan that meets our criteria is a new floor plan by Winnebago 38W. So looking around, heard lots of good stuff but also lots of issues with slides, basements and some fit and finish.

I've become so attached to our Challenger and my ability to maintain it - I am reluctant to jump to a diesel.

Just our 2 cents but we love the Challenger.
