Take a look at the posts towards the top of page 249 in this thread. I asked the exact same question and received several good answers.

I my bolts must be hidden under the carpet somewhere.

That did help, but I still had more input at the steering wheel than I wanted so I went with the rear Ultra RV track bar.
That was the best mod so far. Since I had spent that much on handling I figured what the hell - go with Koni FSD shocks all around. I was mostly happy but poorer. Then I had something done that I should have had done from the beginning - front end alignment. I can drive with one hand and also not be overly concerned with trucks passing me. I won't be adding Sumo's.

Good luck,
Glenn
Where did you get your alignment done?? None of the Ford dealers here in Houston will work on these big motor homes.

Ditto on the front end alignment. We have a front stabilizer and rear track bar (Blue Ox), but BY FAR the best improvement in steering and handling was a front end alignment done about four years after we bought our 2014.5 37KT. It was like driving a different vehicle.

We had ours done at a tire shop for commercial trucks, and the price was extremely reasonable (if I recall, I think ours was only $100-150 or so). Based on my limited experience with a couple minor issues we had with other things, Ford truck shops will take care of the engine and probably transmission, but I suspect many aren’t equipped to handle F53 chassis issues.

I used the Goodyear Tuck store in Rosenberg. They were great.

front end alignment

just had new rubber all around , wanted an alignment, was told when checked toe was spot on, since it had a kingpin no other adjustment was possible. is this true? sounds like I'm missing something here. 2015 37kt

I have a 2014 Challenger also. There is a third bolt to turn. It is behind the console. You will need to remove the screws on the side of the console to give you wiggle room. You can get to the third bolt by getting low on the driver's side and looking behind the console. It took me a long time to figure this out. Thor was no help.

I've found that heavy truck dealers/service centers will likely help you, especially if you tell them, you have a "2017 F53" instead of starting with, "I have a motorhome." At the end of the conversation, tell them it's a motorhome. I was talking to one of the techs after my alignment and he said whether it's a motorhome or a box truck, it doesn't matter to me, all looks the same underneath. He installed my helper springs and new shocks as well.

Just an idea if you haven't tried that route.

Thanks for the info! Looks like there is a Goodyear Commercial Truck Service Center near me. Will give that a try.

So. I’m thinking I’d like to be able to plug in the RV to keep the batteries charged while storing but don’t want refrigerator to be running. I know I could throw the breaker that powers the inverter and also feeds the refrigerator, but being located under the bed and difficult to get to with the slides in, I pondering a easier to access solution. I’ve seen a junction box in one of the storage bay’s labeled reefer and am thinking of wiring in a 15 amp switch there. But wondering if others had done something different or similar before I proceeded.

Why not just turn off the refrigerator?

I just turn the refrigerator off. And turn the inverter off from interior panel.

I have been keeping mine plugged in to 15 amp plug in the storage facility to keep house batteries charged. But, the power keeps going off at that place and it has damaged my batteries. I think I will put a manual disconnect switch on the house batteries and the engine battery negative post. This should preserve my batteries better I think. I go over every month to exercise the generator anyway, if we have not been traveling.

Well, my brand new 2021 Challenger 37YT is gone. It was stolen from the lot of a paint shop early Saturday morning after I dropped it off on Friday to get a small paint chip repaired. They left it outside of their yard since it was too crowded and someone pulled up and left with it 8 minutes later.

Just sickened. It can't be replaced since there are none for sale and Thor has discontinued the floor plan. Heck, the way the floor plan was this year was a one year change to my knowledge so the odds of ever finding one used is pretty slim.

So frustrated. This floor plan was just perfect and because of a greedy shop that took work (I made an appt 3 weeks in advance) that apparently they couldn't handle; my RV is gone. I have had auto shops make we wait when they had more cars than they could pull into their garage at night. I sure wish they would have made me wait another month or so until they actually had room.
