Thor Class A rear view mirror adjustment

The driver's rear view mirror is on the side of our Tuscany XTE, but I would like to swing it in to narrow the width exposure of the coach. I have been told by Thor and Camping World service techs that that can be achieved by removing a cap on the bottom of the mirror mount, loosening a hex head bolt and swinging the arm to the desired location. I have done those, but I can not budge the arm.

Any suggestions?

Thank you.

I have a 2015 Tuscany and I adjusted the passenger mirror doing what your techs suggest. You can download a manual at www.velvec.com.

JEdgar--I checked out the web site to which you referred me and that only deals with the mirror and camera. I am wanted to swing the arm that holds the mirror around to the front window like the passenger mirror instead of sticking out on the side.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

I believe the Tuscany and Tuscany XTE have the same side mirrors so adjusting them should be the same. Remove the cover on the underside of the arm and loosen the hex screw to move the arm. I had to give the arm a thump with the heel of my hand to "break it loose" after loosening the screw before I could move the arm. Then remove the cover plate on the back of the mirror and loosen the hex screw there to adjust the mirror.

Here's a link to a more detailed manual for the velvac mirror. If you have a different mirror than I have then ignore the link and follow the steps your techs outlined. Just be aware that you may need to "unstick" the arm after loosening the set screws. Good luck.

I checked the VELVAC attachment and my mirror is not shown. I also checked the web site and my mirror is not one that is illustrated.

Using common sense and following what you and the techs say, I am going to keep trying to nudge it loose.

Thanks so much for your responses.

I moved mine as others said. Also, I moved my mirror forward, so I look at it thru the windshield. I find this a better option as I only have to move my eyes down & left to glance in the mirror, rather than turn my head. (Basically, both of my mirrors stick out the front)
