Thor Vegas Awning

In keeping with my process of asking stupid questions, I have another new owner question. The awning on my 2017 Vegas rolls up in a clockwise direction. This puts the bottom of the awning on the outside of the roll, and puts the roll in a position where when it rains, water can collect inside the roll. This seems to be backwards to me. If it rolled up in a counter clockwise direction, the top on the awning would be on the outside of the roll, and the retracted awning would not collect water when it rains. is this the way it is supposed to be, or is my switch wired backwards?

That's backwards.

My Axis rolls counter clockwise, ( looking from the front ), with the top, darker color of the awning out.
The white side is hidden when rolled up.

It should roll like the slide awnings.
