Thor Vegas parts

I've ordered and fixed many a vehicle but never had I have such a hard time sourcing part numbers or parts for Thor. All I've been able to find is customer service at 877-855-2867
It's a cabinet gas piston strut for above the sink. They are longer than the rest.
Anyone have better suggestions for a DIY'er up here in Canada?

I've finally obtained possession of the unit and can take a closer inspection on things. Those struts are on all the other cabinets. I took off the strut in question and I find the design quite similar to the automotive sector. I'm going to run around town today and see if I can match it up with one.

Asking Thor for a part that is part of a larger assembly (like a cabinet) is worthless. They don't have them and won't get them for you. I have replaced two small parts on my Thor Axis- a refrigerator pull handle and a cover for the awning end gear box. I found the manufacturer (there is usually a list of major stuff taped on the inside of a cabinet with part numbers) and then Googled the major assembly plus the part name or number. I can usually find the original assembly supplier or a parts supplier for their stuff that way.

Look at the base area of the strut and you should find a number. I found the number on ours and ordered replacements from Amazon.

I actually did when I removed a good strut. I did however go to my my buddy at NAPA and we found one that might work. Trouble is it won't be in until Tuesday and we leave Monday across Canada. When we get back I'll see if it works and if not I'll pursue the name on the part.
