Thor Vegas quality

Good afternoon. I’m helping a buddy shop for a new entry level class a. He really loves the Thor Vegas models. He’s choosing between the 24.5 and the 25.5 model.

How’s the build quality on these Thor models. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews with quality. Please keep in mind I really know nothing about these. Never seen nor been in one and by no means am not trying to bash. I’d prefer to hear from real owners...which is why I’m here to ask. Just trying to help a buddy on a purchase.

Also I know they are built on the e450 chassis. Other than the size of the fuel tank are there any other drawbacks on this model I should let him know about?

Other than that He’s in love and I gotta admit, these little class a coaches are pretty awesome.

I’ve got the Axis version of the Vegas.

Thor quality can leave a lot to be desired, but so do a lot of RV manufacturers. That said, I love my Axis and find it a great fit and perfect combination of compactness and space. Drives and tows well.

Lots of great ideas and mods to make it better on various forums. I highly recommend this model.

I have a 2017 Axis. Picked it up, in NY, last September. Added an inverter, some solar and a 4 stage converter.

We loaded it up and headed down the coast to Florida in October. We made many stops along the way over a month and a half, dry camping at many stops, dragging a Jeep Renegade on a tow dolly, before landing in Miami for 3 months.

3 more months in Florida at different RV parks before heading back to central NY.

Nothing broke or went wrong on the trip. We converted the seamed, two thickness, folding mattress, to a one peice memory foam type. Built a 3-3/4" spacer out of 1/8 ply and rigid foam to fill the drop.

We love the handling and compactness compared to our old 30 ft Class C with its 13 ft overhang.

Fit and finish isn't like a million $ RV but either is the price tag.

Whats wrong with the size of the fuel tank? I have a 2018 Vegas 24.1. It has a 55 gallon tank, enough to drive all day and run the gen set all night. The quality of the materials and the fit and finish.....it is what it is. Most new rv lookers/owners are not happy with the fit and finish on the coaches they can afford no matter which brand.
