Upgrade Sofa to a Sofa with recliners

We have a Challenger 37TB and carry 3-4 grandkids with us a great deal. We'd like to change out the our stock sofa to a sofa that has recliners on both ends. The hitch is that we need to retain the 3 seat belts that we have on our stock sofa to belt our grandkids in while moving.

Anyone have any insight or experience with this?

Have you looked under the current sofa to see how the seat belts are anchored? If they are anchored to the floor, you might be able to thread the seat belts up through the new double recliner sofa, being cautious not to get them snagged on the reclining mechanisms.

If the belts are fastened to the sofa frame, you'd have to assess if the new sofa has a beefy enough frame to do the same. If not, you could fasten the belts to a bar or rod running under the sofa and anchored through the floor.

Thank you. I will check it and go from there. Anyone else have a experience with the Thor Challenger 37TB.

We also have been looking and so far this Home page seems to be best source. Pick the one you like and call them with your seatbelt question. If you request material samples expect 1 to 2 weeks. My biggest problem is seat height as our couch is on slide and slide surface is about four inches above floor. Keep us posted on your project.

I followed up with these folks and was told they do not provide seat belts that I would have to check my unit for fastening. And then I'd have to move the seat belts myself. Still looking into it.

Replaced my sofa with recliner unit from Camping World. Several width options available and existing seat belts thread between the back and seat cushions. In my case I installed two recliners with console but there is also a three recliner option.

scis438 - thank you. The seatbelts are our largest concern. Cannot give up the capability to seat three on the sofa.
