Weird Battery Control Center issue

Hi all...

1st off 2000 Four Winds 33sl on a f53 workhorse.

I'm in the process of interior renovations and was relocating several switches.

While relocating the 2 battery disconnect switches I may have shorted the chassis battery switch by mistake. I'm not 100% sure.

The symptoms are:
The chassis battery no long disconnect and stays on
The coach switch no long seems to do anything.

What I've done:
Tested the switch - ok
Went into the battery control center and tested:
All fuses - ok
The solenoids - both activated when given 12+
and grounded (j19 and j21)

Not sure where to look next :( it "feels" like the latch solenoid is "stuck" or not releasing. I have not removed the circuit board to access the breakers which I believe is behind it.

Could I have screwed up the transfer switch?

Thanks in advance!!

Is the "coach" switch the Boost switch on the dash or the "store/use" switch?
do you have a chassis battery disconnect switch and did it work prior to removing the 2 switches?

I doubt the transfer switch is involved in this issue.

If you suspect that the solenoid is stuck:

Remove the two control wires from the solenoid (2 small wires)
Use a meter or 12 volt test light to check for power on both the in and out sides of the solenoid. If you have 12 volts both sides with the control wires removed, the contacts are likely stuck/welded.
When testing with meter or light, put one tester lead/wire to chassis ground and the other tester lead/wire to the wire on the solenoid.

If , by chance, the switch wires got swapped when moving them ,the solenoid could have 12 volts on the control wires all the time regardless of switch position.

Our BCC has two push-button breakers located near where the battery cables connect but on the inside of the box. They are connected to each incoming battery connection. You might try that. Chuck

Removing the 2 small wires on a latching solenoid isn't a valid test. They latch and unlatch with a momentary shot of power. Some with same polarity and some with reverse polarity. Some latching solenoids have fuses on them.

You need to see what kind your rig uses to search out the wiring. As a test reverse the polarity on the one you sent power to and see if it un latches.

Thanks all!
These are the storage switches.
Honestly, and I feel a bit stupid because I swear I tested the fuses, but one of the 5a fuses was blown. That appears to have fixed it.

I did remove the circuit board and when I was in the coach getting dome water I pulled the fuses and visually checked and bam..there it was.

I DO APPRECIATE the time you all took to answer.
It's nice to have a community to reach out to.
