Now that the Windsport Class A also comes with full body paint as an option, what is the real difference between the Windsport and the Magellan?

Thanks for any light you may shed on this.

Welcome to our great site RayDF.I have been interested in the magellan 36F for awhile.I have toured the windsport and magellan and noticed some nicer upgrades, like cabinets and counter top.Other than that they are the same basic unit. This isnt a good time for me to trade, but if your in the market its a great time.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Based on a suggestion, I carefully cross-checked the lists of features of both units (for the 36F floorplan) and here are the differences of Magellan over the Windsport:

1. One-piece windshield.
2. Fender integrated side docking lights.
3. 110-Volt outlet (vs. 12-Volt) in passenger-side computer table.
4. Fluorescent lights in living room.
5. Refrigerator with stainless steel panel front.
6. Wood headboard in bedroom (vs. wood / fabric.)
7. ABS shower surround with granite look finish.
8. Heated and enclosed (vs. just heated) holding tanks.

Besides these items, the cabinetry is of a different style (although I honestly prefer the Windsport's more traditional style.) Of course, the front cap is styled differently and it's more attractive (although of course, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.)

That's about it!

hi ray, i have the 08 windsport and it has 110 outlets at the passenger side under the computer table, with a twin 12 volt socket and a phone jack. the holding tanks look to be enclosed also .just got back fom our third trip and it is a smooth runner.

Thanks! I must have made a boo-boo when comparing the lists -- it was logical to have a 110V outlet there! And so goes for the holding tanks.

Cheers!
