Wiper Motor

I have a 2007 Damon Tuscany DP and my wipers stop in the upright position when turned off. How do I fix, if replacing the motor is required where do I find that?

If you run them on intermittent do they go to the down position or do they stop in the middle like when you shut them off?

If the wipers work good other than stopping in that position they probably just got out of sync. Try disconecting the arm right at the motor and moving the arms down to the off position. Some models have two arms and both have to be moved.

Normally a wiper motor is in a continuous cycle when running. The motor knows to go just so much of a revolution when shut down, or when running in intermittent. I've had ones that when shut off would pull the wiper down off the windshield an inch or so. On those I just took the arm off, moved it up an inch and then it stopped in the right position.

If for some reason your motor is bad get the part number off it. When I bought my Winnebago the motor would get very hot, even when running on intermittent. Winnebago parts had a part number to order from them, but I google searched it for a cross reference and bought one on Amazon for 1/2 the cost.

Depending on what motor it uses, there may be a relay that does the time out. Not that familiar with your coach but a quick call to the manufacture and they can tell you if there is a time relay or if the motor does it.

On my /17 Challenger 27GT the wipers won't shut off with the switch until I turn the engine off.
Anyone have any thoughts?
