Your RV From Space

Full disclosure...I saw this idea in the Newmar Owners forum.
http://www.irv2.com/forums/f103/ever...un-184205.html
I love the idea!

Have you found your RV from space?
https://maps.google.com/maps
or
Yahoo Maps, Driving Directions, and Traffic
or
Bing Maps - Driving Directions, Traffic and Road Conditions
or...?

Safe travels

Here is mine parked next to the house, Pic must be over a year old though because it looks like my old MH.

Yes, the pool is almost bigger than the house!

Bing has the most recent picture of my home with the motorhome parked beside it. It looks like it is from about April. But, it is really grainy and not worth posting. Yahoo is about 4 years old and has my old camper. Google is about a year and a half old and the motorhome is covered.

Neat idea!

Seems these mapping programs are all different and even within a program, the age of photo's vary.

The Google Maps pic I posted is about 18 months old...based on when I moved the boat there, from marina storage. I think the age of these shots was a topic on Duck Dynasty

I found that, the larger the population center, or if it's near a military base, the resolution is better and the updates more frequent. A rural location is likely to be relatively old, or even in black & white instead of color.

Also, Bing, and recently Google, have "birds eye views" that show a location from an angle. Bing has views from four different directions.

Hey Steve, my Outlaw is finally showing up on sat photos, so lets revive this thread. Here is the motorhome stored in the driveway in front of the too small RV garage. We bought this place long before I decided to jump into the RV lifestyle headfirst with a large class A rig. And yes I like red vehicles! I think that's my little red quad parked between the two red trucks.

Bah, I checked all three and the images are all at least three years old. None of them show the fence we put in a few years ago. I'm cheating - I asked MrOrangePeel to send up the drone tomorrow and take a picture for me. I say that counts

Hey Steve, I was messing around on G-Earth and found another view of my OTL. We are building a new home, and my wife is acting as the general contractor. Before any roofs were up, she used the OTL as her on-site office. She had the blueprints on a table in the garage, used the kitchen for lunch, and used the generator for power on the site. What a versatile and handy vehicle! The image shows the basement concrete has just been poured. Ignore the red lines, I was just messing with some dimensions.
