Found the Navistar Portal for Maxxforce updates. You can use email or call direct with your VIN. Very quick response, they got back to me in 30 minutes.

What did you ask for and what did you get from them?

I sent an email with the serial and VIN and asked about updates. They keep a data base, because the tech. ties into Chicago HQ, and didn't see my unit. They also sent a detailed list of service providers in my area. The update is for "calibration" of the ECM and trans. This should completely replace the fuel/transmission mapping done at the factory and improve performance, mileage, shift points etc. It's free under warranty. To bad they don't communicate with the owners for updates like passenger car manufacturers do.

Talked to a guy yesterday. He had a Maxforce 10 with 130,000 miles. Don't know the year, but, he said the only problem he had was with the computer. Of force, that has nothing to do with the engine.

I'm scheduled for 8:00AM Monday morning. I was told it should only take about an hour.

You can also visit Service Locator | MaxxForce to determine if your MaxxForce control module needs to be re-calibrated - that site will give you the dealer closest to you based on the make/engine you have.

Tried site but all I got was Service Locations, nothing about control module. What am I doing wrong?
