Maxxforce 7 -What is the oil pressure while at idle

I did an oil change on my coach and was watching the oil pressure readout on the dash. When the engine was cold, the oil pressure was 70~68 psi. Once the engine temperature reached 199 degrees while stopped and at idle, oil pressure dropped into the mid-20s. Once engine RPM increased so did the oil pressure.

Is the normal oil psi at idle?

Sounds normal to me. Rule of thumb is minimum of 10 psi oil pressure per 1000 rpm.

Yep. It sounds like you have a real oil pressure gauge. There was a thread a while back about some manufactures having a gauge that just shows a false number to prevent warranty claims for low oil pressure at idle.
