Retuning Breeze MaxxForce7

Configuration: V-8
Displacement: 6.4 L (389 cu. in.)
Power Output: 220–300 hp (164–224 kW)
Peak Torque: 560–660 lb.-ft. (762-898 Nm)
Aspiration: Turbocharged
Combustion System: Direct Injection
Dry Engine Weight: 1,225 lbs. (556 kg)
B50 Design Life: 500,000 mi (805,627 km)
MaxxForce 7 | Commercial Engine | Diesel Engine | MaxxForce

Does this mean that Breeze owners can have their engine hp and torque retuned?

I don't think so. It would be nice but I believe modifications change the emissions. I asked about an upgrade at the local International dealer a couple years back and was told it is not possible and still be legal. Our Vesta puts out 260 hp, but produces the max torque of 660. The later Vesta has 300 hp with the same torque.

Could be done, but the engine would have to be recertified by the US Gov't and we know how that would work out! Then there's the transmission that might limit you to the 660 lbs ft you already have.
