'07 isl 8.9

Going to look at an '07 pusher with a Cummins ISL 8.9 liter 400 HP.

Previous pusher had a CAT so I'm not familiar with Cummins.

Any issues with this engine I should be aware of or asking about.

Thanks.

Make sure the engine is outside the range of serial numbers for the wrist pin recall:

The engine serial number (ESN) is on a plate on the passenger side of the engine on a cover near the top. It can be hard to see...sticking a phone in there with video running might be the best way to find it.

If it is a 2007 MY Coach I suspect 400ISL is a 2006 engine build date. One of the better ISL in my opinion. I searched hard for a late model common rail, VGT before the emissions with the EPA2007 ISL started production in Jan 2007 (commonly referred to as a 425ISL). There is no emissions control on the 400ISL, pre 2007 EPA, not even Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR).

Mine is a dec 15, 2006 engine build date in my 2007 Country Coach. Great engine for me. Do confirm the previous maintenance/service records.

Good luck,
Brian
