Good luck on your ongoing hunt. From what you just wrote, move on...

IMO, and it may not match yours or others, I'd rather have a fair price on a good quality well maintained coach. Fair price? I'm not afraid to pay it more then the going price on a unit - if it has good records of proper maintenance, and reflects pride of ownership. DP's are expensive, a few $K more at purchase for such a unit, could payback with dividends of 'smiles by the miles' of ownership.

Many times 'a bargain' ends up costing not just more to get up to proper condition, but it adds frustration and sometimes resentment in needing to do so...

All subject to varying opinion!

Best,
Smitty

If you want good, clean, quality oats you must pay a fair price, however, if you can be satisfied with oats that have gone through a horse - that comes cheaper.

FYI: I did break down and go look at the 32T as only 30 minutes away....used and abused. Even if mechanically sound the interior/exterior needs time and $$$, no way my wife would venture in and seeing a large race car trailer next too the coach figured she'd been doing some major pulling. More of a project coach and not interested.
But did learn something, basement A/C...not sure of the pros/cons but one pro for me is a Winnebago with basement A/C will fit in my shed! The search goes on.

Pass on unit with no records, manuals,

Good choice to look for something else. We bought one similar scenario; price seemed ok for miles, etc. But as a Newbie had no idea about all the manuals, etc that were NOT there. Too bad no one told us about that issue (did not know about iRV2 at that time). Unit has had one issue after another, fix one and you find another in the process. Thanks to all the information on here and other sites we are getting stuff done but surely would have enjoyed USING it rather than FIXING it for these past months. Price should have been $5000 or more lower to cover costs of repairs.

I would ask for all maintenance records and have the oil analysed. The mechanic should do that as a matter of course.
Or unless there is a known design flaw like in the ISX 650 valve and head.
