2011 Cummins 450

Hello, I am looking at a 2011 coach with the cummins 450 w/ under 30k Miles. Is there anything I should be aware of when looking at these? were there any major recalls or service issues related to this years models?

The coach I'm looking at is a 2011 American coach. Thank you.

The 2010-up diesel engines have the full kitchen sink of emissions junk thrown in them. And most of the engine issues are emissions related. Just look at the DEF issues thread at the top of the "Class A" forum page.

If you have a choice, I would go with a Coach that is older. Pre 2010 (engine year, not Coach year) at least that would eliminate the SCR and DEF emissions junk from the long list of "what can go wrong". You still have to worry about the EGR (2004+) and DPF (2007+).

The 2011 Coach you're looking at may have a 2009 engine in it. So, IMO, it would be wise to find out the engine year, and avoid anything 2010 and newer.
