2014 450HP ISL-13 Low power on hills
I took my coach into Cummins service center for its annual service. I stayed in near by RV park for a couple days after service. When I left the RV park I headed south on I5 going from Coburg heading to Medford Oregon. Climbing the hills going south I was only able to keep my speed at 35 MPH. I normally can go 45 MPH or higher. I am going back to Cummins on Wednesday. My online research says it could be a fuel delivery issue. Does anyone have any ideas?

It does sound like clogged fuel filter(s).

On our '06 the yellow Check Engine light will be lit if the engine is fuel starved. It will go out by itself when there is enough fuel. For example, it will come on climbing steep grades if the filters are at end of life but go out on level ground. The ECM will also set a fault code, but you have to read between the lines of its description to know that it could be the filters. There is also a separate code for loss of power.
Do you have something you can used to read any codes that might be set?

Don't rule out the air intake system, how long since the air filter was replaced? What does the filter minder indicate? Your engine requires 14.5 gallons of turbo(compressed) air per gallon of fuel. The compression ratio/size of your turbo determines how many gallons of normal air is compressed into one.

Wouldn't Cummins change both fuel filters on an annual maintenance .

Interesting - right after engine service ...
Guess I'd look for an air leak in the fuel system from a loose filter - a mechanic's clamp left on the fuel filter line - water/fuel separator bowl full of water, etc.

BTW you do not have a Cummins ISL 13, you have an ISL 9 / I9. The ISL 9 has a displacement of 8.9L, thus the I9 designation.

Check for any codes.
Also, the throttle position sensor can go bad, and cause loss of power. It can even shut you down. Believe me, I have been thru it.
It shut me down in South Carolina. It’s a $45 part and it will require a tow if you can’t rectify it on the road.
