6.7 ISB MAP cleaning?

Has anyone found a need or benefit to cleaning the MAP sensor on their 6.7L ISB?

Someone on another Facebook group was having some issues they thought might be related to the MAP sensor, so I took the time to find mine on my 2008 FRED (see pix).

Now that I've found it, I'm wondering if there isn't any good reason not to clean it with some MAP cleaning spray.

Yes? No? Never mind?

I did clean mine on my 6.7. Anything to keep the engine performing at peak performance. Also removed my EGR valve and cleaned it. Simple job, 4 bolts and an c clamp. It was all sooted up. Removed electric motor ( 4 screws) Soaked the egr in Simple green, pushed the plunger rod 20 times and re-installed. The soot that came out was something to see.

The function of the map sensor is to calculate the mass air flow(via the ecu) and adjust the fuel input for perfect combustion.

I've wondered about this one as well. I'll add that to the maintenance schedule!

Delta P is very close to the egr. Mounted on a flat plate(oval in shape) with 2 bolts. Google Delta P sensor and see what it looks like. Carefull with the 2 o rings.
