You want a 12 volt key on trigger wire, not the lift pump 30 second wire.

On my coach the easiest “hot on ignition” wire was at the Emergency ShutOff switch in the engine compartment. There are two wire to that switch, which is normally closed. I wired the relay trigger to the open leg of the switch, so that if someone triggers the Emegency shitoff, then the fuel pump also stops running

I am in the process of finishing my Airdog installation. Having difficulty locating the two wires from the lift pump that need to be cut. On my Spartan chassis it is impossible to see above the starter or below the lift pump. Looks like I need to remove starter. Is there something I am missing ?
Thanks

I went thru the topside by lifting up the bed platform.
Hope you can do the same.
Helpful hint, do it with clean hands and clothes for a happier marriage....

Alpine, thanks for the response I have done most of the work from the hatch. From above can't locate the two wire connections sent several photos to Lance earlier today and he suggested the wires are below the pump. Can't see anyway to access that area without pulling the starter.
Could finish this up tomorrow if I can locate the wires.

Most applications, the starter needs to be removed to gain access to the bottom of the lift pump where the wires are.

Most applications are 10 AN caps. Easily found by Googling that.

I'm wiring mine with a relay as well but with an on off switch at the dash. I usually level at a campground with engine off key on as that is how my jacks are wired. I don't want the pump running in this situation, or if I have to test electrical with key on engine off.

The two wires are on the starboard facing side of the lift pump, below the fuel line connections. I chose to simply cut them and add female spade connectors. Hope this helps...

Alpine, thank you, that photo is pretty clear. Will give it another try when I have time this afternoon.

Never thought of that source. That’s a great idea! Thanks
