CEL after Cummins Replaced Exhaust Manifold

About a month back I had Cummins SLC replace my exhaust manifolds due to leaking gasket and warping. A few days after getting it back I got intermittent CEL lights. I checked the codes and found these. Could they have screwed up the wiring for the injectors? I would assume those would be on the opposite side of the engine from the exhaust manifolds. Here is a listing of the codes since leaving cummins:

Been back to the rocky mountain Cummins a few times now. Second time they replaced the ECM. New codes came back that afternoon. Another symptom is starting issues before and after the ECM replacement. Also the engine would misfire on 3 rear cylinders when driving between 1100-1400 RPM so keeping it above 1500 was required to get back to Cummins yesterday.

Today they found a loose ground where it attached to the engine.

Keeping my fingers crossed that it starts good in the morning and the CEL has gone away. -Bill

A poor/missing ground accounts for near 80% of all 12V issues.

It appears to be fixed. Cummings replaced the ECM with a "new" one and that made the CEL light coming on issue into a physical driving issue. The engine would now start to misfire between 1100-1400 RPM which became a nightmare going up the 11,300' Berthoud Passes switchbacks. After the weekend in Granby was over we headed back up and over the pass back to Cummins in Henderson Co

Stayed overnight and the next morning they took it back into the shop. They found the actual issue. Loose Ground wire to the engine block.

$4,000 fix for a loose ground. Cannot imagine what it might cost if there was a real mechanical issue.

I will start a new thread about a comment the tech made about the ECM configuration parameters. That one threw me. -Bill

Yep, labor is expensive these days. Searching for and locating a poor/missing ground can consume a lot of time, simply because there are so many. Electricity and water flow are commonly compared for this reason, it cannot flow without a complete circuit.

FWIW over 80% of all 12V issues are the result of a poor/missing ground.
